There are actually three types of managers at the dealership:

1. The Builder
They establish a culture of growth and competition. Builders consistently train their people. They're prepared, organized, and are always trying to find the next steps to improve their team.

2. The Maintainer
These managers don't usually rock the boat and let their employees operate as they always have. Under this leadership, the dealership won't grow. They resist change more than they embrace it.

3. The Destroyer
Destroyers will only be in your store for 6 months or so but manage to demolish your entire operation by then. They play favorites. They often publicly shame their employees. Destroyers will spew negativity like a fire-breathing dragon.

Evaluate your management style. Are you a builder, maintainer, or destroyer?

Ever seen that salesperson that’s WAY too pushy? Or is that you? 🤔

Selling can be tricky, especially if you're naturally pushy. I saw this firsthand last week when helping my mom get a new Lexus. The first salesperson was great—visited her house, asked thoughtful questions, and really took the time to understand her needs. The numbers didn’t work out, so we tried another dealership.

The second guy wouldn’t stop talking, constantly pressuring us with lines like, "This deal ends tonight!" Big difference between being persistent and being pushy.

Remember, it’s about caring for the customer, not just closing the deal. Ask the right questions, show genuine interest, and the sales will follow. If you focus too much on just making the sale, you'll come across as desperate. Push too hard, and people push back. 💡🚗
